It may be Sunday, but there’s no reason to feel down when you have Bostro Pesopeo’s upbeat nu-disco track to lift you up. The German producer — known as Florian Peter in real life — just released his second EP “Cheer Up” via Permanent Vacation.
Dillon Francis – “Without You” (ft. TEED)
Dillon Francis and Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs recently paired up to create collaborative single “Without You.” The Moombahton pioneer solicited TEED on vocals, who ended up writing the track on the relationship troubles Francis was enduring at the time. Stream the ruminative nu disco track below.
Clubfeet – Cape Town (Panama Remix)
Electronic group from Down Under, Panama recently released this remix of Clubfeet’s “Cape Town,” rendering an average synth-pop track from their fellow Aussies into a torrid tropical affair. Infusing the disco number with piano, percussion, and a sick bassline, Panama stirs up a potent combination of chilled out, calypso-laden bliss.
Transport yourself to Cape Town and grab the track GRATIS below.
“everybody buy me a drink, it’s my birthday”
And another one of my favorites from Panama – “It’s Not Over.”
Dillon – Thirteen Thirtyfive (Christian Strobe Remix)
While I won’t try to dissect the lyrics on this one, let’s just enjoy the rad remix that is German producer Christian Strobe’s take on “Thirteen Thirtyfive.” You can catch the original on the Brazilian-born, but Berlin-based singer Dillon‘s debut album, This Silence Kills.
File this under ‘nu disco trap,’ according to Strobe’s Soundcloud page. And grab the free download for your weekend playlist by liking him on facebook.
Artist Spotlight: Amtrac
Caleb Cornett, also known as Amtrac is a DJ/producer from Kentucky who has been gaining momentum as of late and for good reason. His remix of French producer Milwaukee’s (oxymoron much?) single “Alone” is a gorgeous electro/nu-disco number that improves upon the original.
More recently he also reworked the Alex Metric track “Rave Number.” Stream and download this dance floor-ready tune below.
