Ben Howard – The Fear (Moonlight Matters Rework)

Digging this rework of British singer-songwriter Ben Howard’s “The Fear,” from Belgian producer Moonlight Matters.

I been worryin’ that my time is a little unclear
I been worryin’ that I’m losing the ones I hold dear
I been worryin’ that we all live our lives in the confines of fear

Artist Spotlight: Beach House

By some miracle, I was able to see the sold out Beach House show at 930 club last night.  The ethereal sounds of the Baltimore-based band are literally the stuff dreampop dreams are made of, and they did not disappoint.

Below is footage of them performing “Take Care” off previous LP Teen Dream (not the greatest quality but still), an amped up remix of “Norway,” and finally the video for my favorite track off the new album Bloom — “Wishes.”

AlunaGeorge – Your Drums, Your Love

I was first introduced to London duo AlunaGeorge via their single “You Know You Like It,” which came out last April (check out the catchy dance remix by Bondax below). The electropop group is composed of vocalist Aluna Francis and producer George Reid (hence the handle). Their addictive new track/EP, Your Drums, Your Love drops today.

life can be cruel if you’re a dreamer
I just wanna have some fun / don’t tell me what can’t be done

Of all the strangers you’re the strangest that I’ve seen

Folk-rock group Lord Huron just released their debut album, Lonesome Dreams today on IAMSOUND. Akin to Fleet Foxes, their gorgeous harmonies are “a joyous collision of Appalachian percussion, calypso guitars and infectious Western melodies.”

Listen to “The Stranger,” and watch the western-themed video of “Time to Run,” complete with Indonesian subtitles below.

Wild Belle – “Keep You”

Brother and sister duo, Wild Belle released their funky new single “It’s Too Late” late last month.  My favorite track though is the reggae-infused number, “Keep You” which came out earlier this year.  Incidentally, I discovered while writing this that they’re going to be opening for Tennis at Rock and Roll Hotel next Monday, so color me excited.

Same song, again and again
You rob me twice and I keep coming back
Why can’t I keep you?
